If I don’t buy a copy of The Way of Kings 10th Anniversary Leather-bound Edition during this Kickstarter, can I get it later?
Yes! Once all Kickstarter backers have received their copies, we will reprint and carry this book on our online store, along with the other leather-bound books we have published. However, purchasing the book through our online store in the future will not come with any of the additional swag and upgrades available through the Kickstarter campaign and stretch goals.

If I don’t back this Kickstarter, can I get any of the cool swag later?
Many of the swag items will be available for purchase through our online store once all Kickstarter orders have been fulfilled. The backer pin will not be available outside of the Kickstarter campaign.

What happens if you sell out of the tier I wanted to back?
Once a tier’s limit is reached, we will open a new, identical tier with an unlimited backer limit (except the “Signed & Numbered Leatherbound” tier, see below). Shipping for the new tiers will be in 2021 rather than the end of 2020.
If we sell out of the “Signed & Numbered Leatherbound” tier, the new identical tier will be limited to 975 backers and will ship in 2021.

What kind of leather is used for the cover of The Way of Kings 10th Anniversary Leather-bound Edition?
If the stretch goal is reached, we will upgrade the leather cover from the bonded leather we use for our other leather-bound books to a genuine leather cover. We cannot guarantee that we will continue to use genuine leather in future printings after the Kickstarter campaign is over and may return to bonded leather.

My personal values do not let me buy a book which uses animal products. Is there a way to get The Way of Kings 10th Anniversary Leather-bound Edition without real leather?
We are aware that we have fans who cannot purchase our leather-bound books due to personal values, and we respect that. We have looked into animal-friendly options, but haven’t yet found a good way to offer our books with these options. We intend to continue to search for a solution for those fans looking for this option. Unfortunately, availability of this will be some years away.

What type of paper will be used for The Way of Kings 10th Anniversary Leatherbound Edition?
The book will be printed on archival quality, acid-neutral paper specially milled for this edition that conforms to all guidelines established for permanence and durability by the Council of Library Resources and the American National Standards Institute.

Volume 1 includes 560 pages of story, plus an 8 page gallery, plus two 2-page spread illustrations and one 1-page spread illustration Volume 2 includes 688 pages of story, plus an 8 page gallery, plus one 2-page spread illustration and three 1-page illustrations.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
